MISSION

We think that the boldest thing about contemporary art is found precisely where the limits that once separated the different disciplines tend to become hazy: where the visual arts encounter design, architecture, new technologies, fashion and literature. We want to create an exhibition program that stands out for its experimentality, internationalism and dynamism: a space without restrictions for a bold, free art that looks to the future.
Given its spatial features, unique in argentina for their size and style, Faena Arts Center calls on local and international artists, designers and film-makers to plan site-specific works that interact not only with the mill’s monumental architecture, but with the cultural and urban conditions that make up its immediate context.
Faena Arts Center thus provides international-standard production conditions for all guest artists and curators. This fulfils our greatest dream: to provide the city with a unique project, steadfastly commited to cultural activation.
